How do I earn rewards on Fold?

There are a number of ways to earn rewards from Fold, and they depend on your Fold plan:

  1. Rewards Wheel

    What: Free sats from spinning the rewards wheel

    Plan: Available to all users on the Basic plan (no Reserve membership required, although Reserve members have access to exclusive prizes, such as 1 full bitcoin)

  2. Gift Cards

    What: Sats back on gift card purchases

    Plan: Available to all users on the Basic plan (no Reserve membership required, although Reserve members typically get more sats back on gift card purchases)

  3. Spin Squad

    What: Sats back through Fold’s referral program

    Plan: Available to all users on the Basic plan (no Reserve membership required)

  4. Reserve

What the Reserve balance unlocks:

  • Credit card rewards up to 5% back in bitcoin**

  • Debit card rewards up to 3% back in bitcoin**

  • Bill pay rewards up to 3% back in bitcoin**

  • Zero-fee bitcoin exchange*

  • Bitcoin back on every gift card purchase

     

    *Some spread is still included. A "spread" is a small markup built into the bitcoin price. The partner spread remains across the board, but the Fold spread goes away at Tier 1 of Reserve.

    **Anything above the Reserve Balance Tier, eg. $5,000, earns 1.5% on credit, 0.25% on debit and nothing on bill pay. The rewards boost also goes to one card only (credit OR debit, but not both), and if the customer has a credit card, the rewards will automatically default to the credit card over the debit card. The 5% rate requires the Fold Bitcoin Credit Card and a $100,000 Fold Reserve balance, and applies to your first $5,000 in eligible purchases each month. 1.5% back in bitcoin on eligible purchases, with no cap. Rewards are earned on your eligible spend, not on your balance. Holding a Fold Reserve balance can boost your rate on your first $5,000 in eligible purchases each calendar month. Eligible purchases above that amount, and all eligible purchases if you do not hold a qualifying Reserve balance, earn the 1.5% base rate. You earn a boost on only one card at a time.
