Yes, currently we use the same Lightning node to accept payments for Fold and ln.pizza. However, opening a direct channel is not a requirement to pay us with Lightning.
We recommend opening a channel to nodes that have good liquidity with us and no minimum channel size such as OpenNode or Radar.
