Due to our pre-paid business model and our operations involving bitcoin, certain legacy financial institutions may be either unable or unwilling to engage with our pre-paid accounts. Rest assured that the routing number provided in your app is accurate and can be utilized for fund transfers.
Should anyone prohibit the transfer of funds to or from your Fold account, you may want to consider utilizing our in-app ACH transfer features, or any of the options listed below:
Deposits:
- Direct Deposit: Direct deposit is a convenient and free way to add your paycheck, tax refund, or government benefits check to your Fold Debit Card. You'll just need the account and routing numbers found here. Your employer may also accept the direct deposit form here. Note: Direct deposits are subject to all limits including $10,000 per deposit.
- Additionally, you may transfer funds from various online payment services, such as Venmo, PayPal, and Apple Cash. See also: How do I fund my Fold Debit Card instantly with Venmo, Apple Cash, or PayPal?
Withdrawals:
- You may withdraw funds at any ATM; however, please be aware that while Fold does not charge for ATM withdrawals, certain ATM operators may impose a fee. Also, some older ATMs utilize the magnetic strip on your card instead of the secure chip, which is not currently allowed by our banking partner. Should you require assistance in locating an ATM, you may utilize Visa's ATM locator to identify the nearest one. See also: Where can I find an ATM?
- We have recently introduced instant debit withdrawals, allowing you to transfer up to $250 at a time using your personal debit card. Funds withdrawn through this method are typically available within minutes. See also: Can I instantly withdraw USD from my Fold Debit Card balance?
