How do I link my external bank account in the app?

We offer multiple ways to add funds to your Fold Debit Card account. To connect an external bank account, use our in-app ACH funding via Plaid so you can easily connect your external accounts as a funding source for your Fold Debit Card account. You can authorize up to two external accounts for funding.

 

After you initially confirm your details through our partner, you'll be able to connect to most major banks with your login credentials.

 

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Fold app
  2. Tap the Add cash button
  3. Select either One-time Deposit, or Recurring Deposit
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect your bank account to Fold 

 

If these instructions do not match the options visible in your current version of the Fold app, please follow our standard troubleshooting steps to ensure you are getting the most up-to-date experience in the app!

 

After you authorize the account link, you'll be able to seamlessly transfer funds to your Fold Debit Card. Transfers typically take 1-5 business days (excluding banking holidays).
