How do I send bitcoin to my Fold account?
- Open the Fold app
- Tap Bitcoin
- Then, tap the button with two arrows
- Tap the Receive button
- Scan the QR code or copy your Fold BTC address.
- Paste your Fold BTC address into your send wallet and initiate the transaction.
Please copy and paste your Fold BTC address each time you are transferring btc to your Fold account, rather than reusing a previous address, to ensure your sats are sent to the correct address.

How do I track an incoming bitcoin transaction?
When the incoming transaction has been picked up in the mempool:
- The transaction will appear as pending in your bitcoin transaction history.
- You will receive a push notification letting you know the transaction is pending.
When the incoming transaction has settled:
- The transaction will appear as settled in your bitcoin transaction history.
- You will receive a push notification and confirmation email of the transaction.
Why don't I see the transaction in my Fold App yet?
The speed of your transaction may only be controlled only by your sending wallet. Some wallets allow you to pay more to increase the speed of your transaction.
Wallet Address Management
As an added level of security, Fold may automatically generate a new wallet address for you to receive bitcoin at, as soon a previous receive transaction has been settled - always verify that you are sending to the right Fold address before initiating a transaction from your sending wallet.
Previous deposit addresses generated for your account will still work. However, repeated use of the same address may reduce your privacy, as it makes it easier to associated transactions with you as an individual.
