How do I earn rewards?
You can earn up to 3% back in bitcoin on bill pay with Reserve**
**Anything above the Reserve Balance Tier, eg. $5,000, earns 1.5% on credit, 0.25% on debit and nothing on bill pay. The rewards boost also goes to one card only (credit OR debit, but not both), and if the customer has a credit card, the rewards will automatically default to the credit card over the debit card. The 5% rate requires the Fold Bitcoin Credit Card and a $100,000 Fold Reserve balance, and applies to your first $5,000 in eligible purchases each month. 1.5% back in bitcoin on eligible purchases, with no cap. Rewards are earned on your eligible spend, not on your balance. Holding a Fold Reserve balance can boost your rate on your first $5,000 in eligible purchases each calendar month. Eligible purchases above that amount, and all eligible purchases if you do not hold a qualifying Reserve balance, earn the 1.5% base rate. You earn a boost on only one card at a time. How much can I earn?
You can earn up to 3% back on payments up to the amount of your Reserve Tier. Any payments made beyond that amount do not earn rewards.
What is an ACH Bill Payment and how do I do it?
ACH Payments are payments made from one bank to another. You can do this using your account and routing number. To see your account and routing numbers, follow these steps:
- Open the Fold app
- Tap the menu hamburger in the top left corner
- Under the Banking heading, tap Direct deposit
The process may vary from biller to biller, but follow these steps to make a payment:
- Log-in to biller portal
- Navigate to pay bill section
- Add payment method (note: you can not use plaid or other "log - in based" linking methods, must do manually by account and routing number)
- Select "pay by bank", "e-check", "bank transfer", "ACH payment", or similar
- If it asks you what kind of account, select "checking"
- Enter your account and routing number
- Submit Payment
Note: depending on your biller, they may need to verify your account with microdeposits when you add a payment method.
